The Devout Man of God

Devote yourself to prayer, being watchful and thankful.Col 4:2

Ken and Debbie Evans
Ken Evans is one of the most devoted man to God that I know.  If you are a man of God you will devote yourself to you family.  This he has done.  God comes first in Ken's  life, then his Queen, Debbie, his wife and my daughter.  I will never forget she came home from church and told me " I have met the man I am going to marry Ken Evans."  I ask her did he know it ,no but he will.  I think it was the same for Ken.  He was our new Choir Director.  He also took the youth on short trips and planned  banquets for them, asked his friends and brothers to come as dates for different girls in the church.  Ken never got one for Debbie and he never had a date.  She felt like this told her something, I think it did  also.  He became very dear to our family, he even came out and milked the cow for me.  Over the years Ken has helped me out many times, I am not the only one.  There is no way to know how many people this young man has helped and brought to God.  I am very thankful  for my son-in-law.  I fell in 2003 and broke my hip at first I was OK money wise but I think he knew some hard times was coming, and they did.  My car was in the parking lot at the hospital, my son drove me home and Ken followed us to take Frank back.  They went to the grocery store for me, I gave the money to Ken , but he paid for them and gave me back my money.  Debbie and Ken came back several times, because I could not drive, they would buy the things I needed and would never take my money.  When all the Workman's compensation ran out, I found out how hard it could be on me.  Ken seem to know when I was low on money.  Once Ben his son came by with a card from Ken and Debbie there was 200.00 dollars in it.  There were times I barely had food, he brought a box of sweet potatoes, I ate them everyday.  Every time he came I always found money in my Girls Night Out Jar after he left.  It might not be but 15.00 or 20.00 dollars, but it was needed.  This is my way to tell him what a wonderful man and son-in-law he is Happy Birthday Today Ken Evans.  A true man of God.  Hope you enjoy reading this blog page and you will continue to watch my garden grow, and you will grow one of you own.  Happy gardening to you from me.  Juanita
