In the Beginning

Shreveport
I have always loved flowers.  I have in the past ten years developed a strong love for roses.  I feel one is closet to God when walking through a rose garden.  Blogging is new to me and at 74 years young I'm not sure it is wise to start new things but here goes.  I'm by no means a professional but I learn by trial and errors, and I've had a lot of those.  One person said all you need to be an expert is to travel 50 miles and have a briefcase.  I put my briefcase in the closet and traded it for a gardening bucket and fertilizer.  I plan to spread a lot of that through out the blog!  Hope you come and sit with me a while and smell the roses.  My next blog will be about building the perfect rose bed.

  1. You have one of the most beautiful rose gardens I've ever seen. Every serious gardener should follow your blog.

  2. That is a beautiful rose. Named after my fair city, which is the rose capital. I'm not sure what it is you are going to spread a lot of through your blog. But at least the roses will cover up the smell of anything else. Can't wait to read more!

  3. Juanita, how brave you were to delve into a blog, toss fear to the side and grow your love of gardening, writing, and yourself all in one fell swoop. Next Friday my writing group and I will be together in a public presentation where we will discuss what we get out of blogging. You have certainly flourished here. I always love going to the root of the plant (blog beginning) to see how the seed was sown. You have grown a beautiful rose here my young friend. May your garden continue to produce an abundant bounty.

    1. Thank you for visiting my blog. Wish I could join your group and learn more about wring a blog. I have learned some by doing. That is the best way to learn how to do anything. I have learned a few computer skills also. Good luck with the meeting. I know you will write about.
